RBI vide its Notification dated 3rd April, 2023 to all banks.
The notification states:
The Reserve Bank of India issues guidelines and instructions to achieve the objectives of Clean Note Policy and enhance operational efficiency. It has also formulated a Scheme of Penalties for bank branches for deficiency in customer service.
